PYNL has four Committees, each of which is responsible for planning and carrying out a branch of PYNL's programming. We encourage members to take a look at the following committee descriptions and see if there is one that you'd like to get involved in.

Activities and Outreach
Chair: Naomi Leapheart

This committee is primarily focused on developing PYNL's membership and organizing social activities for our members. Its responsibilities include:

  • Member Recruitment
  • Relationship Building
  • Board Recruitment
  • Event Planning and Coordination
  • Developing and Maintaining PYNL's Website and E-newsletter

Leadership Development Committee

This committee is charged with developing PYNL's larger scale leadership develop programs. Its responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and Implementing PYNL's Emerging Leaders Board Training Program (ELBTP)
  • Planning PYNL's Other Leadership Development Programming

Professional Development Committee
Chair: Michele Blazer

This committee works to develop PYNL's professional development program and hosts regular events to build the knowledge and skills of our members.

Governance Committee
Co-Chairs: Steve Fynes and Chris Waters

This is PYNL's newest committee and charged with the task of looking ahead at the future of the organization, and working to determine the direction we want to go in the coming years. Responsibilities include:

  • Determining PYNL's future fiscal and non-profit status
  • Developing our relationships with similarly focused organizations
